A wireless float sensor sits in your AC drain pan and alerts your phone when water starts to rise, so a clogged condensate line doesn't sit unnoticed in an empty house.

Your air conditioner pulls moisture out of the air. In Florida that's a lot of water. It drips into a drain pan under the air handler and runs outside through a small PVC condensate line.
Warm, wet and dark is perfect for algae and slime. Mixed with dust, it slowly narrows the line until it clogs. When it does, the pan fills. If the unit sits in an attic or a closet, the overflow can soak the ceiling, drywall and flooring below.
When someone lives in the home, they usually notice a drip, a musty smell or a stain. In a seasonal or vacant home the AC keeps running all summer to control humidity, and nobody is there to see the water. Some systems have a float switch that shuts the AC off when the pan fills. That stops the overflow, but then the house heats up and humidity climbs. Either way, you want to know right away.
This kit alerts you, so you can call your AC technician or have someone check the house the same day.
Everything to watch the drain pan and keep the line clear, chosen for homes that sit empty.

Hardwired float switches that cut power to the AC when the pan fills should be installed by an AC technician. This kit is wireless and tool-free, and it doesn't connect to your AC's wiring, so you can set it up yourself.
It ships anywhere in the U.S., so it works for humid-climate homes outside Florida too.

Yes, for phone alerts. The hub plugs into a wall outlet and connects to your home internet (Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable to your router). The sensor talks to the hub wirelessly. If you shut off your internet for the summer, phone alerts stop, but the sensor's built-in alarm still sounds locally.
No monthly fee is required. Alerts come through the free YoLink app as push notifications and email. YoLink also includes a small number of free text-message alerts each month.
No. The sensor alerts you when water rises in the drain pan; it doesn't turn off the AC or clear the line. The tablets, adapter and brush are there for routine drain-line upkeep. If the line is already clogged, call an AC technician.
No. This kit is wireless and tool-free: you hang the float in the pan and set the battery-powered sensor on a dry surface. Float switches that are wired into the AC to cut power when the pan fills are different; those should be installed by an AC technician.
In the drain pan under your air handler (the emergency or secondary pan if you have one), hanging just above the bottom so it lifts when water collects. The printed card in the box shows the placement step by step.
The sensor is rated for about 32–122°F (0–50°C). Florida attics can get hotter than that in summer, so if your unit is in the attic, put the sensor body in the coolest spot the float cable reaches, and consider a closet or garage unit first.
Use them exactly as the package label directs, and note that the label is written for HVAC professionals. If you're not comfortable, skip the tablets and use the brush and adapter, or ask your AC technician at your next service.
